There’s still some work that could be done (I do have a job!), and I almost think I shouldn’t have taken out all the streets. But once you leave some streets, how do you determine which ones to leave? The cartographer at Le Monde left too many, in my opinion.
In particular, I feel like the information that most matters on the map is the relative locations of the lieux of prostitution, not so much the actual streets. And for that, the arrondissements are enhancement enough, especially considering the text labels that Le Monde used. Unless there’s a need to indicate a specific intersection, the streets are just noise.
